About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Millwood Hospital, a 134-bed mental health facility providing inpatient and outpatient treatment. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and providing continuous care, supervision, and interaction with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous patient care, supervision, and interaction with patients ranging from preschool to geriatrics
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to ensure patient safety and well-being
  • Assist with restraining procedures and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
  • Two years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness
  • Successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training (CPI) and certification in CPR
