About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Millwood Hospital. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous patient care, supervision, and interaction to patients ranging in age from preschool through geriatrics.
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Assist with restraining procedures and maintain a safe and secure environment for patients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • Two years of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
  • Successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training (CPI) and certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association for CPR.
