About the Unit
This specialized unit comprises 16 beds dedicated to cardiovascular and cardiothoracic care. Our primary focus is on the recovery of post-operative patients following heart surgeries, including CABG procedures. The patient demographic includes individuals requiring intensive care following cardiac interventions, such as open-heart surgeries, vascular and thoracic surgeries, TAVR procedures, and STEMI treatments.
Role Overview
As a Nursing Assistant, you will support licensed nursing personnel in delivering direct patient care while maintaining the nursing unit's environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with personal care and safety needs of patients under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Maintaining an organized unit with adequate supplies and equipment to ensure efficient patient care.
- Facilitating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home setting is preferred.
- Current CNA certification is preferred.
