Penn State Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring patient safety and comfort during the scanning process.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during the scanning process
- Administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously as needed
- Interview patients, explain MRI procedures, and position patients on the examining table
- Enter patient data into the computer system, including patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation, and position of entry
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and registered or registry eligible in MRI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
