Position Summary:

The Senior IT Architect conceptualizes architectural vision, develops and validates architecture against business requirements. This role leads ServiceNow solution architecture design and enhancement activities, ensuring technical integrity of projects. The Senior IT Architect advises on design options' impact and coordinates design and development activity within programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Define prerequisites for development.

  • Implement ServiceNow best practices and standards to guide less experienced consultants.

  • Ensure technical quality of customer projects.

  • Lead Service Management Platform team and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.

  • Serve as ServiceNow technical and process best practice advisor/SME to customers and teammates.

  • Administer the ServiceNow instance, including delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items, and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of ServiceNow application integration with third-party systems/applications.

  • Participate in internal and customer meetings to identify unique use cases for the ServiceNow platform.

  • Demonstrate requirements gathering and analysis, solution design, development task management, quality assurance, and release management.

  • Provide subject matter expertise, act as technical product advocate, design, develop, and implement ITIL processes, ITSM, ITOM, CSM, Knowledge, IRE, SAM/HAM, and Release Management modules within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions, recommending the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.

  • Experience in multiple ServiceNow implementations.

  • Develop software solutions to requests for new services and functionality.

  • Propose data model, design changes to processes and products, exerting significant latitude in determining assignment objectives.

  • Translate requirements into functional and technical requirements.

  • Develop technical design documents.

  • Review and refine designs for usability, review testing scenarios, and refine test cases to ensure application quality and work with users to review test results to ensure they meet expected results.

  • Support and coordinate scheduling and execution of releases, product upgrades, new technology deployments.

  • Evaluate new features and produce comprehensive analysis and recommendations.

  • Perform and participate in product road map planning.

  • Produces and maintains detailed system documentation, including design specs, maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment, disaster recovery, tech notes, and testing.

  • Create and maintain the current state of the ServiceNow platform architecture documentation and provide architectural control.

  • Create well-structured test plans and coordinate testing activities.

  • Translate technical complexities to project stakeholders and ensure they understand the effects of design decisions on the ServiceNow Platform.

  • Lead ServiceNow upgrades planning and execution.

  • Participate in the configuration of new applications or suites during planning, development, and roll-out phases.

  • Contribute to the strategic development of new platform customization, as needed, based on customer needs.

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of technological advances; provide continuous research and assessment of new resources and technology available for the ServiceNow platform.

  • Show strong leadership skills with the ability to lead assignments/teams and mentor others and build a team.

  • Demonstrate strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Create solution architectures that are leverageable for future reuse.

  • Actively seek opportunities to leverage existing IT solutions for new business offerings and services.

  • Align IT solutions with business functions to improve flexibility, facilitate large-scale reuse, and improve comprehensibility and visibility of IT's value to the business.

  • Partner with business, Research, and other FCE and IT teams in designing IT solutions that match the needs of the business.

  • Assess and formulate future architecture and technology direction for IT solutions.

  • Aggressively identify enterprise IT application solution/technology initiatives that are of value.

  • Collaborate with other architects and teams in the execution of the initiatives.

  • Review and approve IT Architecture methodologies, standards, and best practices, full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience, software performance engineering practice and consultation, rich and varied IT solutions design and development experience, architecture principles, and frameworks.

Salary Estimate: $140,000 - $160,000 per year
