Job Summary

At CHRISTUS Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our ICU.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy and standards.
  • Provide clinical supervision for entry-level nurses and assist in their development.
  • Collaborate with other shifts and departments to ensure optimal continuity of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, utilizing evidence-based practice and patient-centered care principles.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, identifying and addressing any changes or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • RN License in the state of employment or compact.
