Veterinary Medical Professional

At the Arizona Humane Society, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to animals in need. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in our mission to save lives and enrich the lives of pets and people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in the treatment of animals and independently evaluate animals to determine adoptability.
- Work alongside the team to ensure high levels of patient care.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and department leaders to solve problems and implement positive changes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a veterinary technician program or 2 years of experience at a veterinary hospital or clinic.
- Must be able to assist veterinarians in all aspects of AHS' medical services, including surgery, radiology, dentistry, laboratory diagnostics, client education, clinic asepsis, fluid therapy, and the administration of prescribed medications.
