Job Title: Litigation Paralegal Specialist

Job Summary: Talis Group's company client is a full-service law firm seeking a Litigation Paralegal Specialist to work with seasoned trial lawyers and industry experts in the firm's product liability group. This position is full time Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with a full benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and analyze medical records and prepare medical summaries.
  • Search information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case information.
  • Determine, prepare, and organize materials needed for expert witness review.
  • Review, analyze, and organize document productions.
  • Summarize transcripts; assemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documents.
  • Trial preparation and support including reviewing and preparing records and exhibits.
  • Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses.
  • Maintain calendars as spreadsheets to track deadlines, dismissals, and status of cases.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive civil defense litigation experience, preferably product liability or medical malpractice.
  • Technical skills in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Associate, or Bachelor's, OR Certificate in Paralegal Studies desired.
