Job Overview

The Logistics Management System (LMS) Specialist serves as the key individual responsible for overseeing the LMS that supports the operational processes across various sectors of the organization. If you possess experience with a logistics management system and are eager to advance your professional journey, this role offers a chance to enhance the company's efficiency in freight management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily functions of the LMS program.
  • Address inquiries related to the LMS program from internal teams and freight partners.
  • Resolve issues in collaboration with LMS contacts and internal personnel.
  • Assist internal teams in extracting essential data from the system.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the LMS provider for any arising issues.
  • Engage in the development and optimization of the Logistics Management System.
  • Participate in research, pricing assessments, and negotiations with the LMS provider.
  • Address billing discrepancies and concerns with carriers.
  • Communicate promptly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED is required.
  • Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related business field is preferred.
  • Previous experience with a Logistics Management System and vendor relationship management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of freight and delivery operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
