Position Overview

The Guest Services Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the pristine condition of all communal areas within the hotel. Candidates must possess the flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, with availability for both morning and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all public spaces to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain public restrooms, ensuring they are consistently clean and well-stocked.
  • Clean and maintain guest elevators, focusing on mirrors, glass, brass, and chrome surfaces.
  • Perform spot cleaning and shampooing of carpets as necessary.
  • Dust and wipe down all wooden surfaces on a daily basis.
  • Maintain the lobby area, including furniture arrangement and cleanliness.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of mirrors, glass, tiles, floors, walls, doors, and other surfaces as required.
  • Polish brass and chrome fixtures as needed throughout the shift.
  • Monitor public areas continuously to ensure cleanliness and order.
  • Manage waste disposal, window cleaning, vacuuming, and other cleaning tasks as necessary.

The Guest Services Attendant will adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards set forth by The Jefferson Hotel Richmond, ensuring a high level of service and cleanliness for all guests.
