Position at Norwalk Hospital Association

Job Summary:

The Cardiac Invasive Services Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Cardiac Lab, ensuring continuity of patient care, maximum efficiency of patient flow, clinical leadership, and mentoring of personnel. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining proper staffing in the cardiac lab and coverage for the On-call program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assigns, allocates, and supervises daily workload, evaluating effectiveness and quality of work.
  2. Manages cardiac lab schedule, maintains proper staffing levels, and coverage for the On-call program.
  3. Coordinates and maintains inventory par levels and equipment resources.
  4. Fosters a supportive environment for staff growth and development.
  5. Mentors staff by providing education, demonstrating flexibility, supporting problem-solving, and process improvement.
  6. Coordinates with the Invasive Lab, physicians, and ancillary services.
  7. Ensures effective coordination of services, including scheduling and transferring patients in elective, urgent, and emergent situations.
  8. Conducts regular meetings to keep the team notified of any changes in policy, procedures, and regulations.
  9. Trains new personnel and provides assistance when necessary to support the needs of the Department.
  10. Represents the department in Leadership committees and interdepartmental initiatives.
  11. Works with the Director for inventory and budget recommendations.
  12. Develops performance goals with staff and conducts performance reviews.
  13. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years Cath Lab/EP experience
  • 3 years management experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Electronic Medical record, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Essential Credentials:
    • Registered Nurse
    • Basic Life Support
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IV certification
  • PCI experience

Work Environment:

Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force. Generally pleasant working conditions.

Salary Range: $ Hourly, commensurate with experience
