About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Satellite Electrical Engineer to join our team at eSpace. As a key member of our avionics development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex multi-layer, mixed signal circuit boards for our advanced spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplines
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer
  • Circuit analysis including power, tolerance, and reliability related
  • PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing
  • Support production and manufacturing
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical hardware design including schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing
  • Experience leading the design, development, layout, and qualification of a board or sub-system from initial concept through production
  • Design proficiency with processors, FPGAs, switch mode power supplies, high speed data interfaces, precision analog instrumentation, and navigation sensors
  • Experience in high reliability component design and production
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and layout of complex PCBs
  • Proficiency performing circuit analyses in SPICE and Excel
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience designing for space environments
  • RF and transmission line design and simulation skills
  • Experience designing rigid-flex PCBs
  • Experience with embedded software development for ARM core processors
