We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wireless Communications Systems Engineer to join our team at eSpace. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing the physical layer modem for our LEO satellite constellation communication network.

Our team is passionate about creating innovative solutions that enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are committed to delivering actionable intelligence that expands global economies, protects space and our planet, and enhances our overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modeling and Simulation: Develop and implement detailed mathematical models of physical layer communication systems for LEO satellite networks, and use simulation tools to evaluate and optimize system performance.
  • Design and Development: Design the architecture and algorithms for physical layer modems, including modulation, coding, synchronization, and channel estimation, and develop prototypes and conduct lab tests to validate modem performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Perform detailed performance analysis of the designed communication system, including link budget analysis, throughput, latency, and error rates, and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document all design and development processes, simulation results, and performance evaluations, and prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in communication theory, digital signal processing, and wireless communication systems.
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing and developing physical layer modems.
  • Familiarity with satellite communication systems, particularly LEO networks.
