Job Title: Senior Wireless Communications Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wireless Communications Systems Engineer to join our team at eSpace. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced wireless communication systems for our LEO satellite constellation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop physical layer modems for LEO satellite networks
  • Model and simulate communication systems to evaluate and optimize performance
  • Analyze the impact of physical layer impairments on system performance and suggest mitigation techniques
  • Develop prototypes and conduct lab tests to validate modem performance
  • Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of physical layer modem with other system components
  • Perform detailed performance analysis of designed communication system, including link budget analysis, throughput, latency, and error rates
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure modem meets required specifications and standards
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
  • 10 years of experience in communication theory, digital signal processing, and wireless communication systems
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent
  • Experience in designing and developing physical layer modems
  • Familiarity with satellite communication systems, particularly LEO networks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
