Position Summary
The Sales Route Specialist at New Carbon Company plays a crucial role in representing our brand and ensuring the delivery of our premium products to our esteemed clientele. This position involves fostering strong customer relationships, guaranteeing timely product deliveries, and providing outstanding service to maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize a company vehicle to deliver products and offer service support to clients along the designated route.
- Meet sales objectives, identify opportunities for new business, and expand our customer portfolio.
- Comprehend pricing structures and product offerings to inform clients about key and promotional items.
- Engage with customers respectfully to cultivate long-term partnerships.
- Present new product offerings or pricing adjustments to enhance sales at each stop.
- Relay market trends and insights to management to safeguard and grow our customer base.
- Accurately handle customer transactions, including payments, invoices, and inventory management.
- Perform maintenance on equipment at client locations in line with company standards.
- Follow established routing schedules as per company guidelines.
- Collaborate with clients to address any concerns, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring proper product rotation and maintaining an orderly storage area.
- Adhere to the Fleet Safety Program, traffic regulations, and all relevant safety standards without exception.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the company vehicle.
Qualifications
Essential Experience/Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- DOT Certification required (minimum age of 21, successful completion of DOT physical)
- Acceptable driving, criminal, and credit history
Required Skills
- Proficient in using handheld devices for order processing
- Effective communication and persuasive skills for sales presentations
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Ability to meet deadlines and ensure prompt deliveries
- Attention to detail to guarantee product quality
- Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
