Hanover Foods is seeking a highly-motivated and qualified leader to oversee our maintenance department. This position is responsible for:
- Supervising the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and plant equipment.
- Providing line maintenance support to the production department.
- Maintaining buildings, facilities, and systems.
- Managing spending accounts, capital projects, and contractors.
- Ensuring compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
- Adhering to the universal responsibilities of a management position.
- Supervising the repair of all production equipment as required.
- Supervising the repair of production line breakdowns to ensure timely completion.
- Formulating and implementing Preventative Maintenance Programs for all production equipment.
- Ensuring that all maintenance employees are properly trained and demonstrate safe working practices.
- Assisting in the development of maintenance programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Developing capital projects to increase efficiency and operational profitability.
- Reporting unusual conditions to the General Manager.
- Responsible for the administration of food safety, legality, and quality policies and procedures.
- Recommending and administering discipline on an equitable basis.
- Recommending and managing capital projects.
- 5-10 years of experience in maintenance-related work in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the operation and repair of equipment.
- Familiarization and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical processing, packaging, and material handling equipment.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Engineering degree or related equivalent.
