Position Summary:

We are on the lookout for dedicated customer service sales associates who are passionate about providing exceptional service. Ideal candidates will enjoy engaging with customers seeking high-quality products at competitive prices, supported by knowledgeable staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting, applying, and purchasing a wide range of fasteners, industrial hardware, tools, and maintenance supplies.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via walk-ins and phone calls, providing information on product specifications, pricing, and special requests.
  • Manage customer special orders and follow up as necessary.
  • Identify customer needs by clarifying requirements and specifications.
  • Locate and retrieve products from the stockroom efficiently.
  • Process transactions and assist with product shipments when required.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Contribute to maintaining store cleanliness and product presentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of retail experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong math, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move quickly to fulfill orders and assist customers.
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
  • Ability to unload freight and stock shelves as needed.
  • Proficient in using hands for keyboard tasks related to customer orders and inventory lookups.
  • Must be able to answer phones and take customer orders effectively.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Structure: This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week.

  • Starting Pay: $20 per hour
  • Pay Range: $20 - $24
  • Eligibility for a discretionary year-end bonus.

Benefits: After 90 days of employment, employees may participate in various benefit programs, including:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage for employees and eligible dependents, with premiums fully covered by the employer.
  • Company-sponsored Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability coverage.
  • 401K Plan with a 3% company match.

Time Off:

  • 7 Paid Holidays plus half days on designated holidays.
