ROLE SUMMARY:

Deliver administrative, programmatic development, and support services as part of a comprehensive victim services organization focused on social transformation.

The Co-Director is tasked with sustaining and enhancing the vital services offered to our community, working collaboratively with the staff and Board of Directors to advance the YWCA's mission through the establishment of effective infrastructure that ensures program viability.

The Co-Director oversees grant management, facility maintenance, and the financial, programmatic, and administrative operations of YWCA Lewiston-Clarkston.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborative Leadership: Maintain and enhance programs aligned with the mission and objectives of YWCA and the needs of the local community.
Formulate and execute policy recommendations pertinent to programs and services.
Ensure adherence to grant and licensing requirements.
Supervise the upkeep of program statistical reports.
Assess and analyze the outcomes of program activities.
Promote positive public relations and community awareness of YWCA programs and philosophies.
Secure and sustain community involvement and support for programs.
Represent YWCA in various community organizations and deliver community presentations.
Participate in regional, national, and international YWCA meetings and activities (as funding permits).
Provide staff support to the Board of Directors as necessary.


Financial Sustainability: Maintain a robust system of controls to track all receipts and expenditures of funds.
Develop and implement the annual organizational budget, including salary distribution, to allocate resources for enhanced program effectiveness and efficiency.
Ensure all financial records and files are current and precise.
Process accounts payable and monthly payroll.
Maintain records of current personnel benefits, including insurance and retirement plans.
Manage merchant services and e-commerce.
Assist with special events and related bookkeeping.
Oversee inventory of YWCA assets.
Support tracking of maintenance and upgrades for all computer equipment, including the network server.
Assist with the oversight of website design and development.
Support advanced technologies, including procurement and training.


Grant Management: Supervise the preparation of monthly grant billings and financial reports as required.
Monitor program expenditures in accordance with grant budgets and provide budget recommendations, including requests for budget adjustments.
Ensure compliance with allowable expenses as outlined in grant contracts and sub-contracts.
Keep the leadership team informed regarding the status of grant funding.


Building Maintenance: Oversee maintenance staff and maintain records of all YWCA buildings.
Monitor contracted services, including janitorial and other professional services.
Ensure that regular maintenance and physical requirements of YWCA buildings and equipment are met.


Liaison to the Board of Directors: Attend all Board of Directors meetings.
Assist the Board by providing information on philosophies, policies, and responsibilities associated with Board service.
Serve as an ex-officio member of all standing and special committees of the Board.
Collaborate with the Board President and Executive Committee to plan the agenda for Board meetings.
Provide information and reports on all aspects of financial stability to the Board of Directors.


Liaison to YWCA USA: Ensure compliance with YWCA Membership agreements.
Communicate YWCA program and legislative priorities to staff and Board members.
Engage in regional and national YWCA meetings and events.


Organizational Commitment: Uphold the mission, values, and goals of the YWCA.


Supervision and Support:
Cross-train in all aspects of YWCA services.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the agency.
Participate in board meetings, staff meetings, and designated training events.

Qualifications:
Dedication to the mission, values, and goals of the YWCA.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree is preferred, along with five years of progressive management/supervisory experience.
Knowledge and experience in management, compliance, board support/management, program development, program design and delivery, and public relations. Experience in nonprofit governance is preferred.
Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Financial/accounting skills to manage an organizational budget exceeding $1 million annually.
A creative self-starter and team leader with exceptional organizational, speaking, and writing abilities.
Strong computer and data entry skills.
Attention to detail and organization.
Possess a valid driver's license and insurance.

Compensation:
Salary starting at $75,000+, with competitive benefits including health/dental coverage, paid annual leave, and retirement plans.
