Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management
- Oversee a team of electricians and lead personnel, providing constructive guidance and management.
- Collaborate with Business Unit Managers and other supervisors to ensure all electrical maintenance tasks are executed according to established plans.
- Evaluate team needs and implement development strategies to enhance performance.
- Manage after-hours calls and payroll approvals.
- Review and assign job tasks effectively.
- Supervise maintenance operations.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure all tools and facilities are well-maintained.
- Lead the team in adhering to safe work practices to achieve zero injuries.
- Ensure timely completion of safety recordkeeping.
- Facilitate structured safety meetings and follow up on action items.
- Plan and execute electrical repairs and inspections as scheduled.
- Support the mill's safety initiatives and ensure adequate time for safety observations.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure cost-effective operations and optimal equipment reliability.
- Maintain awareness of all electrical maintenance tasks across the facility.
- Identify potential issues and implement corrective measures to prevent equipment failures.
- Work with the planning department to develop maintenance schedules and manage crew assignments.
- Organize and oversee maintenance shutdowns and equipment rebuilds.
- Control maintenance timelines and associated costs.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintenance procedures to identify issues and initiate repairs.
- Maintain detailed repair records to inform future maintenance needs.
- Identify equipment with high maintenance costs and take appropriate action.
- Manage the procurement process for equipment repairs.
- Plan and execute lubrication system maintenance and analysis.
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in Electrical or Electronics within a production environment is essential, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems is necessary.
- Strong electrical and troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Effective supervisory and communication skills are required.
- Ability to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment with exposure to various physical demands.
- Compliance with safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
