Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead a team of technical media operators to achieve newscast goals and objectives
    • Schedule and manage the workload of the production team
  • Technical Operations
    • Direct newscasts using automation systems
    • Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure clean and error-free broadcasts
    • Monitor transmitter and satellite feeds, and dub in commercials
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with management and other departments to ensure seamless operations
    • Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of newscasts
Requirements
  • Experience and Skills
    • Proven experience in technical media operations, preferably in a broadcast environment
    • Strong knowledge of automation systems, including Tricaster and Newscaster
    • Experience with Adobe Premiere and other video editing software
  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, communications, or a related field
    • Relevant certifications or training in technical media operations
  • Personal Qualities
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
