Financial Analyst Job Description

At Banner Witcoff, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Accounting Department. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our goals by providing accurate and timely financial reports and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute the firm's monthly financial reporting package, including key performance metrics and relevant variance analysis to budget, forecast, and prior year activity.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end reports for bonus consideration.
  • Participate in the continued development of the revenue and profitability databases for reporting purposes and the corresponding attorney dashboards.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses with recommendations for solutions.
  • Assist with the preparation of periodic financial presentations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and five or more years of related experience working within a law firm.
  • Computer proficient with knowledge and understanding of Accounting systems (Aderant or Elite), Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to identify and analyze complex accounting/financial issues and to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
