At Snail Games USA, we're seeking a talented Game Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of our upcoming wuxia-themed game. As a key member of our design team, you'll be responsible for creating engaging and immersive gameplay experiences using Unreal Engine Blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems and mechanics using Unreal Engine Blueprints.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative gameplay mechanics, including combat systems, AI behaviors, and interactive environments.
- Create and iterate on prototypes to quickly test and refine new ideas and features.
- Produce clear and detailed design documents that communicate the functionality and flow of gameplay systems to the development team.
- Work closely with artists, programmers, and other designers to integrate assets and ensure that gameplay mechanics function seamlessly within the game world.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks related to Blueprint scripting.
- Participate in playtesting sessions, gather feedback, and iterate on designs to improve the player experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in game design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on experience with Unreal Engine Blueprints.
- Experience in designing systems for action-oriented or wuxia-themed games is a plus.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine, specifically with Blueprints.
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, systems design, and interactive storytelling.
- Ability to conceptualize and implement complex game systems that are fun, balanced, and aligned with the game's narrative and artistic vision.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and design challenges within Blueprint systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design ideas and technical specifications to team members.
- Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
