Riot Games is seeking a Senior Manager of Game Design to lead our team of designers in creating outstanding experiences for our players. As a key member of our Player Platform team, you will help set the experiential strategy to create healthy social environments and positive social experiences for players.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with the Head of Player Dynamics and leaders across Game Design, Player Platform Product, and Player Platform Design to align on a shared social and community vision and strategy for Player Platform and across Riot.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the motivations and behaviors of players, fans, and social dynamics of communities.
- Manage a diverse team of talented designers to design solutions that are novel and resonant to players.
- Ensure design and development teams are provided with the right artifacts at the right time to deepen understanding and meet product goals.
- Collaborate closely with Game teams to ensure the seamless integration of social systems into the game development process leading to the optimal experience for players.
- 7+ years of experience designing digital product experiences, games as a service/live services, and platforms as a System or Game Designer.
- Design owner of multiple large projects in parallel with successful delivery.
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Experience creating systemic change to a design team's process or principles to improve output and impact significantly across the team.
- Experience communicating and expressing complex and nuanced designs in simple ways.
- Leadership experience resolving conflict and offering difficult feedback with respect.
- Robust understanding of player behavior and how social systems affect social dynamics.
- Experience with industry-standard digital design and prototyping tools.
- A competitive salary range between $196,000 and $275,200 per year.
