Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, incorporating input from families.
- Engage patients and families in the development of personalized care plans.
- Deliver high-quality, efficient patient care in collaboration with patients and their families.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Exhibit strong teamwork, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
- Manage time and resources effectively to ensure cost-efficient care.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and support the growth of colleagues.
- Contribute to the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
All candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any recommended booster doses, unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma (Bachelor's preferred).
- Current Texas Board of Nursing licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact and BLS certification required.
- Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience.
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, Triage, Antepartum, and Mother/Baby Units is essential.
- Strong understanding of biological, physical, and social sciences.
- Proficient in patient observation, assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
- Knowledgeable in health education for patients with illnesses.
- Familiar with medication administration and nursing practices.
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and flexibility.
- Strong oral and written communication capabilities.
- Competent in operating unit-specific medical equipment.
- 2-3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery is preferred for those applying to Labor & Delivery or OB Assessment & Triage.
- Adult ICU experience is preferred for candidates interested in OB ICU roles.
- Experience in MBU, OB Triage, Labor & Delivery, and High-Risk Women's Services is preferred for OB Float Pool applicants.
