Position OverviewWe are in search of a Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit who excels in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. In this position, you will deliver exceptional nursing care to children undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures, prioritizing their comfort and safety while collaborating with the team to improve patient flow.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients and their families, taking into account physical, emotional, and environmental factors.
- Proactively identify and respond to changes in patient conditions, modifying care plans as necessary.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient care discussions.
- Administer medications and treatments promptly and accurately.
- Work closely with patients and their families to provide education and involve them in their care decisions.
- Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing unit performance and patient outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Valid nursing license in Texas and current BLS certification.
- At least one year of nursing experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work night shifts.
- Strong critical thinking skills and proficiency in nursing processes, including ACLS.
