About the Role

The Engineering Supervisor is a key member of the 01 Pensacola Christian College, Inc. team, responsible for providing direction and oversight of the operations and personnel of the Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage personnel, equipment, projects, work loads, resources, and general operations.
  • Ensure that Engineering personnel are well-versed and trained in department policies, troubleshooting methodology, repair techniques, and customer service expectations.
  • Monitor and evaluate personnel performance, approve time off requests, and payroll reports.
  • Evaluate staffing needs and ensure that employees are effectively equipped and efficiently utilized.
  • Manage HVAC equipment, including monitoring and coordinating repairs, installation, commissioning, and servicing of Building Automation Systems.
  • Identify equipment deficiencies and sources of failure, and implement and verify corrective measures to maintain systems and maximize efficiencies.
  • Evaluate and recommend potential new technologies, systems, and solutions.
  • Coordinate projects, providing general oversight of planning, design, scheduling, implementation, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate project needs with other internal departments, outside vendors, and outside contractors.
  • Ensure that each project is completed on time and satisfies the requirements.
  • Provide oversight of the department's daily operations, assign work orders, and manage individual work loads.
  • Ensure work orders and daily tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain an awareness of and communication for the status, needs, updates, and critical information of work orders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in engineering management and 5+ years in HVAC systems, operations, and controls.
  • College Degree: Mechanical Engineering or Vocational/Trade Degree: HVAC (Required).
  • Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Building Automation Systems, and HVAC Software skills.
  • Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time, and possessing strong leadership and organizational skills.
