Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineering Manager to lead our construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services on transportation construction projects. As a leader, you will oversee and manage a team of engineers and specialists, ensuring the successful delivery of complex civil construction projects such as bridges, railroads, roads, airports, harbors, dams, pipelines, tunnels, and power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage transportation construction projects from start to finish, including client relationships and business development.
  • Review and seal projects to ensure they meet contract and specification requirements.
  • Supervise the work of engineers, specialists, and field inspectors.
  • Interpret and ensure that the team applies project specifications and construction documents as intended.
  • Oversee invoicing and manage project budgets using PM dashboard access.
  • Perform on technically complex projects and act as a technical resource for team members.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals.
  • Stay up to date on regulatory changes and establish working relationships with regulatory officials.
  • Write and negotiate proposals as project issues arise with clients or reviewing agencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida or ability to obtain registration within six months.
  • 10 years of engineering experience, with 5 years in major road and/or bridge construction.
  • Experience working with or for the Florida Department of Transportation is preferred.
