Job Title: Mental Health Professional

Job Summary:

George Junior Republic is seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team as a Community-Based Counselor. In this role, you will provide trauma-informed care to at-risk youth and their families in their homes, schools, and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling services to a caseload of 7-10 youth and families in need of mental health and/or behavioral health support.
  • Collaborate with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs, and other community support organizations to ensure comprehensive support for families.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and various treatment modalities to engage families and promote positive outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Act 33/34 clearances and FBI clearances.
  • Able to work a non-traditional schedule.
