Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Management: Oversee the calibration and routine inspection of all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Supervision: Provide oversight to employees and third-party personnel as necessary.
  • Operational Support: Perform additional duties as required to fulfill the needs of the SSV conditioning department.
  • Seed Processing: Work within a dedicated area focused on small seed vegetable conditioning and seed health.
  • Leadership: Offer guidance and expertise in seed quality to enhance plant operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist in the collection of quality samples and data, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Sampling Procedures: Execute sampling processes according to established protocols.
  • Product Quality: Assess product quality and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Process Development: Develop and implement processing plans to align with business strategies and product availability.
  • Communication: Maintain proactive communication across departments to ensure processing aligns with business needs.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Implement rigorous scheduling for plant and equipment maintenance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvement initiatives while motivating team members.
  • Technical Contribution: Utilize specialized skills to develop innovative concepts and techniques.
  • Documentation: Create and execute processing work instructions and task cards in accordance with document management procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate advanced conditioning, chemical, and packaging machinery.
  • Certification: Obtain AASCO seed sampler certification as required.
  • Eligibility: All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
  • Forklift certification is necessary.
