Safety Coordinator Job Description

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Safety Coordinator to support and coordinate the safety function for industrial sector construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the company safety training curriculum, including training courses and sessions.
  • Collaborate with Field Coordinators, Field Managers, and employees to implement the corporate safety program.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of the corporate safety and health program.
  • Monitor construction activities and advise management on compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
  • Investigate serious accidents, major property damage, and incidents with the general public, and develop preventive measures to eliminate or control hazards and potential liability.
  • Evaluate construction activities and advise supervision and management on the adequacy and compliance with mandatory regulations.
  • Assist with company claims management functions.
  • Travel to various job locations (up to 75%).
Requirements:
  • A solid working understanding of OSHA related to the construction industry and OSHA 500 Certification.
  • At least 5 years of safety experience within the construction industry.
  • Ability to speak both English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A degree in safety and risk management.
  • CSP, GSP, CIH, ASP, or CHST certification designation.
  • First aid & CPR certification.
  • Ability to work independently and productively with others.
  • Experience with cold storage refrigeration systems.
  • Knowledge in training programs and testing procedures & workers' compensation and claims management.
Eligibility:
  • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $79,300 - $99,300 per year. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
