Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team at AS&E. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production assembly and subassembly operations on complex capital equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test baggage inspection systems for airports, container inspection systems for ports, and mobile inspection vehicles for borders and special events.
  • Perform complex tasks in creative and effective ways with very few errors.
  • Work well with others in a team with little supervision.
  • Ability to maintain productivity and to proactively move between job assignments without specific direction.
  • Understand and apply 5S principles and personal accountability for workspace and tooling.
  • Willingness to work outside as required in non-ideal conditions while upholding quality and safety principles.
  • Ability to check bills of materials, manage inventory, and send communications as necessary.
  • Complete accurate and timely paperwork.
  • Ability to transition easily between product lines without much training.
  • Use online manufacturing documentation, follow sequenced online instruction, and maintain production record books online.
  • Knowledge of bills of materials (BOM) structure and ability to read and interpret assembly and schematic diagrams.
Requirements
  • High School diploma, GED, or applicable work experience and 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work on vehicles, and on large gantry structures.
  • Comfort working at heights from a ladder or manlift.
  • An enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude thriving in a rapidly evolving environment.
