Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and optimize our Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
  • Develop and implement data replication strategies to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs.
  • Perform production on-call support, maintenance, and off-hour deployments as required.
  • Develop and maintain security and access controls for production databases.
  • Design and implement database models, schema, and indexing strategies to improve storage efficiency and access.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of database queries and data pulls.
  • Identify and assess new technologies and tools to improve database architecture and services.
  • Develop and implement archiving approaches to meet business needs.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with database administration, particularly with Snowflake, DB2, and AWS RDS.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and database object creation.
  • Experience with data replication, security, and access controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and propose solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Experience with software development life cycle methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the Property and Casualty Insurance industry is a plus.
