About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team at Metromont, LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative precast concrete solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex engineering calculations and details for precast concrete products and connections.
  • Independently manage engineering design aspects of projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Review contract documents to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Attend project meetings and lead coordination meetings as needed.
  • Develop and review requests for information (RFI) to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Resolve engineering design issues independently and assist others as needed.
  • Verify engineering design calculations and details of others for accuracy and adherence to Metromont standards.
  • Review erection drawings, master shop tickets, and other documents to ensure designs and standards are followed.
  • Conduct regular plant visits to stay aware of production processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Become licensed in states where engineering work is performed and review and stamp erection drawings, calculations, and repair details as assigned.
  • Evaluate design cost and take appropriate action to ensure project budget is met.
  • Complete repairs without assistance and adhere to Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Requirements
  • 3-7 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in precast concrete.
  • BS Civil Engineering degree with a structural emphasis.
  • PE license required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills, including experience with engineering design software.
