Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Optimization Engineer to join our team at Qcells. As a key member of our Cell Process Team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing manufacturing processes to enhance the overall performance of our solar cell products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and troubleshoot process performance, establish improvement plans, and optimize process conditions to improve the optical and electrical quality of solar cells.
  • Cell Process Management: Manage the development and implementation of new cell production models, including evaluating process settings and stability, and managing the testing process to mass production.
  • Process/Material Development: Implement process/material development strategies to improve solar-cell efficiency, reduce manufacturing costs, and develop proprietary processes/materials.
  • Cell Process Standardization: Develop and train standard operating procedures, out-of-control action plans, and define related cell process standard documents.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management or that require immediate attention.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: B.S. in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering/researching for a manufacturer/institution.
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of production processes related to thin film deposition, laser optics, electrical contacts, thermal diffusion, and chemical etching.
  • Preferred Requirements: Ph.D. in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor, or related field, experience in semiconductor manufacturing, and experience with micro-structure analysis tools and optical/electrical characterization tools.
