Job Summary

Cinterra is seeking a highly skilled Horizontal Directional Drill Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Directional Drills and mud mixing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Directional Drills for pilot bore, reaming, and product pullback, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage and maintain mud mixing equipment, including rod loader systems and pump levels, to optimize drilling performance.
  • Develop and implement effective site preparation, restoration, and right of way maintenance strategies to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with crew members to achieve project goals and objectives, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve drilling efficiency and safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Class A CDL License with tanker endorsement within 6 months.
  • Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling techniques and standards, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of 811 Requirements and Procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for extended periods, and performing strenuous physical labor in adverse field conditions. The ability to quickly move arms and legs, and excellent stamina, are essential for success in this position.
