Job Summary

Cinterra is seeking a skilled Horizontal Directional Drill Operator to join our team. As a key member of our utility construction team, you will be responsible for operating directional drills and mud mixing equipment to safely and efficiently install underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate directional drills and mud mixing equipment to install underground utilities.
  • Perform site preparation, restoration, and right of way maintenance duties.
  • Develop proficiency in safe operation of directional drills and other equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment.
  • Run power tools and perform hand digging.
  • Transport equipment to and from job sites and load/unload equipment.
  • Maintain material inventory on truck.
  • Lead crew members as a lead position while crew foreman is offsite.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Horizontal Directional Drilling techniques and standards.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Class A CDL License with tanker endorsement in 6 months.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
  • Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas.
