Job Summary:

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for an Open Rank Pediatric Surgical Ophthalmologist position. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, surgical expertise, and academic leadership in pediatric ophthalmology.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality outpatient care and surgical services to pediatric patients
  • Contribute to clinical and/or bench research in pediatric ophthalmology
  • Teach and supervise residents and medical students in pediatric ophthalmology

Requirements:

  • Successful graduation from an approved ophthalmology residency training program
  • 1- or 2-year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology
  • Board certification or eligibility, and eligibility for licensure in North Carolina

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an academic medical setting
