The annual salary for this role is estimated to be around **$120,000 - $180,000**, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As an Optometrist with the Department of Veterans Affairs, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment providing comprehensive eye care services to our nation's veterans.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting routine eye exams and follow-up care for existing conditions
  • Managing emergency eye care situations
  • Developing treatment plans and prescribing medications as necessary
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A U.S. citizenship (or consideration as a non-citizen candidate)
  • Completion of an Optometry residency training program
  • A full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state
  • Board certification or board eligibility (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
