Health Information Manager Opportunity

The HealthCare Initiative is seeking a skilled Health Information Manager to oversee the medical records program. This role ensures compliance with regulations, state laws, and HIPAA standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct, plan, and coordinate medical record practices and ensure compliance with IBOH and medical staff bylaws.
  • Supervise chart reviews, coding, filing, and data management, ensuring records are accurate and complete.
  • Lead the HIM team, building trust through communication and collaboration.
  • Work with the HIPAA Privacy Officer, addressing privacy complaints and ensuring compliance with privacy policies.
  • Manage scheduling, vendor relations, budgets, and staff training on medical privacy standards.
Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree with RHIT or RHIA certification (AMRA continuing education required).
  • 1+ year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
