We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing system commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
- Respond to basic warranty calls and provide technical support to customers.
- Load system-level controller software and calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Communicate with management, JCI contractors, and customers to ensure job progress and issues are addressed.
- Basic computer skills and demonstrated technical aptitude.
- Able to use hand and power tools, including drills and saws.
- Attention to detail and good communication and listening skills.
- Two-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field, or at least three to five years of industry experience.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques.
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
- Low voltage/120 volt wiring skills.
- HVAC experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Visio.
