Role Responsibilities – Escrow Assistant

The Escrow Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the team by collecting essential information and documentation for escrow closings, as well as maintaining accurate records and accounts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and assisting clients and visitors, both in person and via phone.
  • Organizing and maintaining files and documentation.
  • Sending relevant correspondence as needed.
  • Conducting record research.
  • Performing clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and mailing.
  • Coordinating real estate closings and gathering necessary documents to finalize transactions.
  • Preparing files in accordance with real estate contracts and title commitments, along with any required escrow and title-related documents.
  • Safeguarding clients' rights by ensuring confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Disbursing files as required post-closing, upon request.
  • Maintaining operational efficiency by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting necessary changes.
  • Contributing to team objectives by completing related tasks as assigned.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
  • A valid driver's license and occasional travel may be required.
  • Ability to obtain a State of Kansas Title Insurance License within the first six months of employment, with company support available.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in title insurance, lending, or real estate is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong customer service, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Dependability, a strong work ethic, and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to learn swiftly and excel in a dynamic environment.

Job Type: Full-time
