The Role:
Initially, this position will focus on fixed income settlement along with the corresponding cash, position, and suspense reconciliations. However, candidates should be ready to learn and undertake additional responsibilities as business volumes or other factors evolve.

The duties are likely to shift over time to encompass other settlement-related tasks as expertise develops and cross-training takes place, so we seek an individual who is adaptable and eager to grow.


The Team:
The settlement team manages a variety of functions.

These functions encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

Domestic fixed income, equity, and US treasury fail control.

Issuance and management of broker-to-broker buy-in notifications.

ACAT and non-ACAT customer transfers.

Fail comparison including via DTC's Obligation Warehouse and the 17a13 quarterly confirmation.

Reconciliation of numerous cash, position, and suspense accounts.

International trade settlement including stock loan.

Daily performance and documentation of controls.

Automating reporting through technology utilization.

Ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements including RegSHO, Reg T, and 15c3-3.

Consistent cross-training and idea sharing to foster process improvement, efficiency, and teamwork.

Requirements:
Strong preference for a minimum of 1 year of experience in settlements (FED and DTC).

Experience with Fixed Income, including factor adjustments, P&I, BONY, DTC settlement.

Series 7 certification.

Robust risk control background.

Data analysis skills, familiarity with Python or a similar scripting/programming language for data automation and organization.

Strong capability to work independently.

Bonus:
Knowledge of equity settlement, international transactions, buy-ins, and ACAT, reference data for fixed income.
