Job Summary

Agenda for Children is seeking a highly organized and dynamic professional to serve as the Program Manager, Observations and Accountability Content. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and in developing and delivering relevant professional development content, both virtually and in-person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Assistant Director, Program Quality and Improvement in planning and delivering CLASS-focused professional development, including:
    • Participating in planning, assessment, and ongoing improvement efforts for the department;
    • Facilitating communities of practice with program teachers and leaders to support their understanding of the CLASS tool and developmentally appropriate practice;
    • Maintaining appropriate documentation as required for professional development activities;
  • Review and revise existing professional development content and workshop activities to ensure all are accurate, current, engaging, and include best practices with particular focus on CLASS content;
  • Create new early care and education content and materials related to professional development on CLASS, developmentally appropriate practice, teacher-child interactions, language development, etc.;
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge and skills to support effective facilitation of professional development workshops on various early childhood topics, including CLASS;
  • Conduct CLASS Observations for the NOEEN Network as needed;
  • Assist the Assistant Director, Program Quality and Improvement in reviewing, analyzing, applying, and sharing CLASS data;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field;
  • Three years of early childhood classroom experience, or coaching or teacher mentorship experience that can be substituted for up to 2 years of classroom experience;
  • Experience with CLASS Accountability tools;
  • Demonstrated success working with adult learners and eagerness to develop skills in adult learners;
  • Proficiency with common office software, Google products, Zoom, and online learning tools;
  • Experience and interest in presenting and facilitating engaging workshops, both virtually and in-person;
  • Early childhood leadership experience (mentor, administrator, teacher leader, etc.) (preferred);
