Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our GMP packaging and serialization equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on GMP packaging and serialization equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues with equipment.
  • Assist operators in equipment set-up, start-up, and continuous operation, including changeovers related to format and serialization.
  • Build and write work instructions, setup instructions, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Actively influence training of employees on various packaging equipment.
  • Assist operators, engineers, and supervisors with equipment installation, provide suggestions for modifications and continuous improvements.
  • Validate and verify operation of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operation conditions.
  • Maintain equipment files and document maintenance activities in compliance with SOPs and Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP).
  • Identify and order equipment parts as needed.
  • Participate in problem-solving sessions with a focus on safety, quality, and driving efficiency improvement actions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical production and packaging preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand piping and instrument diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment assembly drawings, and other equipment-related documentation.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and be available on an on-call basis as needed.
