Mechanic - Dock and Door Equipment Specialist

Job Summary:

Crown Equipment Corporation, a leading manufacturer of lift trucks, is seeking a skilled Mechanic - Dock and Door Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for providing expert repair and maintenance services to our customers' dock and door equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair dock and door equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer dock and door equipment to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize welding skills to repair and fabricate equipment components as needed.
  • Maintain a well-stocked service van and its inventory to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery.
  • Process paperwork and documentation upon completion of each job to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school graduate preferred.
  • Proven mechanical and electrical aptitude, with experience in welding and repair of automotive and material handling equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer care and satisfaction.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
