About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our outpatient therapy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
  • Perform selected measurement procedures and treatments, such as joint range of motion and gross strength of muscle groups
  • Participate in patient testing, evaluations, and complex procedures
  • Perform administrative tasks related to patient care and participate in departmental continuing education programs
Requirements
  • One year of experience practicing in the outpatient therapy setting
  • Associate degree from an accredited program for Physical Therapist Assistants
  • Current New York State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience practicing in the outpatient physical therapy setting
  • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership
