Job Summary

The Sleep Lab Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sleep lab, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and train sleep technicians to ensure they are equipped to perform sleep studies and provide excellent patient care.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
    • Collaborate with the medical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Conduct regular quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
    • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Manage the sleep lab's inventory and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as respiratory therapy or sleep medicine.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a sleep lab or respiratory therapy setting.
  • Certifications
    • Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
