POSITION OVERVIEW:

The role of a Correctional Facility Officer involves overseeing and regulating the conduct of detainees while ensuring compliance with established protocols. This position requires collaboration with law enforcement and judicial entities as necessary. Officers are responsible for executing a variety of detention-related tasks to guarantee the secure processing, confinement, and welfare of individuals held at the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation.
  2. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and personal items for detainees.
  3. Report any conditions or practices that may affect sanitation standards.
  4. Transport detainees to court appearances and other required locations.
  5. Work may include irregular hours and attendance at job-related meetings.

Officers may be assigned to various units within the facility and are expected to perform their duties with minimal oversight, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and responsibility.
