Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Detention Officer PRN to join our team at Eddy County, NM. As a Detention Officer PRN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor the behavior of residents, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with law enforcement agencies and judiciary agencies as necessary.
  • Plan and perform a wide range of detention duties, including booking, incarceration, and safety of persons committed to the Detention Center.
  • Inspect facilities for cleanliness and maintain a clean and sanitized environment.
  • Identify and report conditions or practices that may compromise overall sanitation effectiveness.
  • Maintain an inventory of sanitation supplies and inmate supplies.
  • Transport prisoners to court and other appearances as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
