Healthcare Liaison

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Liaison to join our team at Child & Family Services of NY. As a liaison, you will act as a bridge between psychiatric providers, clients, and organizations within the community.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for providing high-quality support. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with mental health therapists to address behavioral health concerns and outcomes.
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete prior authorizations with insurance companies to ensure clients receive appropriate medications.
- Review and process refill requests from various sources.
- Return phone calls from pharmacies to clarify questions regarding scripts and refills.
- Review laboratory test results and discuss concerns with the psychiatric provider.
- Communicate medication, behavioral, or primary health concerns to psychiatric providers, guardians, and clients' therapists.
- Document concerns in clients' charts and monitor as needed.
- Work collaboratively with mental health therapists regarding behavioral health concerns and outcomes.
- Ensure completion of appropriate documentation in clients' charts.
- Demonstrate appropriate communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Show respect and courtesy in all interactions and communication.
Requirements:
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Two years of medical assistant experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Ability to relate well to children, families, and other staff members.
